Meet Dr. John Kenney

Dr. John Kenney is a native of Shreveport, LA, and an honors graduate of Ole Miss. His early interest in dentistry came while he was a student at Ole Miss when he took time researching which health care career he was best suited for. Upon graduation from Ole Miss, he was accepted to the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Dentistry in New Orleans, LA, where he would spend the next four years of his life. While at LSU, Dr. Kenney excelled in his academic studies finishing in the top 15 of his class. Additionally, he was one of the few students to be awarded honors at graduation accepting the Excellence in General Dentistry Award (Top 4 General Dentists in the class of 60).

Upon graduation from Dental School in 2001, Dr. Kenney moved back to Mississippi to join the Family and Cosmetic Dental practice of Dr. John Bryson and Dr. Richard Caron in Tupelo. While practicing in Tupelo, Dr. Kenney has continued his clinical education earning certificates in Straight Wire Orthodontics, Dental Implants, the use of Dental Lasers, Advanced Digital 3-D CEREC Dentistry, Invisalign, Clear Correct, and multiple certificates from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry of which he is a Participating Member. Dr. Kenney is actively placing mini-dental implants to support dentures in the office and can have your new crown ready in one visit, in less than two hours.

Dr. Kenney is actively involved in many professional organizations and has served as the Tupelo Dental Study Club President for two years. He is a Participating Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Mississippi Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Orthodontic Society.

Dr. Kenney and his wife, Kelly, reside in Tupelo and they have two children – Claire and Reeves. In his free time, he enjoys running, reading, and golf. He is dedicated to his Tupelo Smiles practice and is committed to taking care of each patient as if they were his only one. Together with his talented and dedicated staff they look forward to giving each person exceptional dental health and the smile of which they always dreamed!
